Probably the Wisest Thing This Guy Ever Said

A tweet from Iranian President @M_Ahmadinejad:

I like to retaliate by burning a book that you Americans hold dear, but the only book you care about is Facebook.

  2. I will be damned ... For once this man makes sense ...

I find Facebook to be nothing short of shallow and worthless when we are dealing with serious issues.

It is great as a 'social' forum ... Too bad that someone does not create an image of it that is meant for serious comments ...

I presume that is why we have blogs ... to deal with the reality of this world and not blow it off as some kind of fluff ...

Having said that, I realize it is much easier for most people (Americans)to deal with the world in an unrealistic form as opposed to having the obligation of (as we said in Toastmasters) ... Speak with Knowledge!

  5. Fred, yah I looked at his Twitter feed and figured either it was satire or someone on the president's staff had quite a sense of humor.

Mike, I look at Facebook this way. I like broccoli as much as the next guy but sometimes I need ice cream, which is where Facebook comes in. However, I have also been involved in threads on Facebook in which serious discussions of issues have indeed taken place. So it's really what you make of it.

I'm glad you have revived your blog. I think it's important that your voice be heard in many different forums.
