Shaq is a true character. Really. He got a master's degree from The University of Phoenix (huh?) working on a dissertation for a PhD, was a Miami reserve police officer, and an "Honorary Deputy US Marshall" all while playing Pro ball. In another 6 years, I smell another reality show. "Dr. Shaq".
Take a look at Maya Moore. Could there be a moore prefect physical specimen geared for women's athletic competition? Maya Moore is my personal all time favorite UCONN women's basketball star.
Fred, I think that's one of the things I like about Shaq. He's a superstar who doesn't take himself too seriously and he's willing to go outside his comfort zone. You don't find those kinds of qualities in a guy like that very often.
Victim, I used to think that Diana Taurasi was the best Lady Husky ever -- and perhaps the greatest women's hoops player of all time -- but now I'm not so sure. I think you'd have to give Maya serious consideration for those honors.
